Alfie's Trials for England's U15s Angling Team

It is an incredible achievement for Year 6 pupil Alfie.

The trials take place across three matches over the next few months, with the final team selection being
made after the third match.

Mayor of Wakefield, Cllr Maureen Tennant-King, recognises Alfie’s achievements.

Successful anglers will go on to represent England at the World Championship in France this summer.
Only 40 junior anglers from across the country have been selected for these trials, making Alfie’s a fantastic accomplishment.

Martin Rollin, Head of Academy, said: “We are incredibly proud of Alfie He has a real talent, and we have been delighted to support him on this journey. It’s wonderful to see his hard work paying off.”

Alfie’s efforts have not gone unnoticed in the wider community. The Mayor of Wakefield, Cllr Maureen Tennant-King, presented him with a recognition award.
